To All IPOB And Supporters Of The Biafran Cause.
The death today of this beautiful lady http://www.nairaland.com/2776547/blood-sister-killed-today-biafra sister to a popular Nairalander today Viviangist has prompted me to finally put my thoughts into writing about this increasingly violent agitation of some igbos for the succession of their region to form what they believe will become their Eldorado, How Naïve ?
I say to the rest of Nigeria, who are we to deny a people their right to self-determination, it is a basic human right and the fact still remains that Nigeria as presently constituted is a faulty contraption. So for whatever reason they believe they would have it better being a separate entity, They have a right to it…Absolutely. But the way and manner these youths are going about it shows their limited intellect, Your right to protest should not deny others the right of movement as witnessed at the Onitsha bridge yesterday, The Police would have being within the ambits of the law if they had applied force to remove yesterday’s protesters. Also, These IPOB youths seems to be making these protest about one man, you do not make such a struggle about one man an undeserving one at that, so what if he is released today, will that be the end of it all. Mandela and fellow black Africans didn’t make the struggle against apartheid about themselves, Ghandi didn’t make the struggle against Imperial Britain about himself and for a man that has called for violence against his fellow citizens, brazenly calling out to igbos to kill Non- Igbos in their Land, stupidly ignoring the repercussions of such action (Check Youtube for videos and other hate Speeches)..I can boldly say here that he deserves his present predicament; some sense needs to be put into him
But Still I say if The Igbos wants to leave Nigeria, so be it but permit me to suggest more viable and sensible ways to go about it
1 Igbos must be united in their cause: Try to convince your fellow Igbos especially Those that proudly consider themselves Nigerians and live outside Igboland to join in the cause because these ones will sabotage whatever efforts the others makes, You cannot spoil their business. Maybe an Initial referendum with all Ndigbos partaking to show if In Fact it is what 99% of Igbos want
2 Once Unity of Purpose has been achieved, All Igbos holding Public Office in The Nigerian Federation must resign their post and join in the Struggle which will surely show Nigeria and the rest Of the World that The Igbos ain’t playing, you can’t be crying marginalisation on one hand and at the same time, agitating for a separate country.
3 Move enmasse to Ala Igbo : This reason is for your own safety and common sense, as much as I abhor violence, the reality is that a totally peaceful separation looks unlikely, so an obvious massive movement of Igbos living in Lagos, Kano etc to Ala Igbo will force the Nigerian nation to take note and probably allow a demarcation because obviously, with the disadvantaged position of South Easter region of Nigeria, Biafra will only be if Nigeria agrees to it, So my dear brothers from the land of the rising sun, Let the homecoming or homegoing begin.
4 Civil disobedience instead of threatening Violence: apart from that you are more likely to win international and even national sympathy this way, Threatening Violence have repercussions, one of which is loss of life, Folks that have witnessed war would never want to go through such ever again. Disobey the Nigerian Constitution; Boycott all Nigerian civil and social activities, October 1, May 29, All National Teams, The Nigeria Premier League, refuse to represent Nigeria at international tournaments and I can bet you, Nigeria and the world will take you more seriously
I must add here I believe that what this Nation needs is a realignment of our federation, True and Fiscal Federalism is what will catapult Nigeria into a Nation every Blackman can be proud of and reduce the mutual suspicion every other tribe has for the next, Our Population is an advantage that can be used to develop our economy, There is no guarantee that if Biafra, Odua republic or Niger Delta become a country, all the problems of their citizens will disappear, in some cases, it could even become worse (See South Sudan).
Long live the people of Present day Nigerians irrespective of their country tomorrow!

Dear Wailing Wailers (DWW)
It has become rather juvenile the manner at which the wailing wailers association on
Nigeria that have come to believe that those that voted for Change in the last
elections must be biting their fingers in regret and have taken to social media
to disparage and mock the over 15 Million Nigerians that voted for Change. Well…Listen
up my dear wailers, Jonathan was simply NEVER an Option, even if said election
were to hold again today after Buhari’s 6
month in charge, we would still have voted the same. With Jonathan in charge,
we were simply sinking deeper into the abyss; at least efforts are now being
taken to halt this treacherous spin.
With that
FACT established, it is also important to note here that if as a supporter of
Change, and in these past six months of PMB administration, you have not seen
any reason to criticize him, then you are also part of the problem, it would be
sad if we all fall into the sycophancy net of GEJ Supporters who despite his
many flaws and inadequacies saw him as their Jesus that could do no wrong, They
helped in kicking him out of office if only they knew it.
Even though I
didn’t support Jonathan from the beginning for obvious reasons, sadly dude proved
me right but I prayed he succeeds, because that is the sensible thing to do, the
same way I expect the 12 million that voted against PMB to hope and wish he succeeds,
his failure will pay no one but by 2018 towards 2019, PMB turns out a let-down,
then the same way we lit up Jonathan’s behind is the same way we would do him,
we would simply replace him with our PVC, that is the power of democracy. The
tragedy therein would just be that in 20 years of democracy, we wouldn’t have
still gotten a right Candidate with all our Human capital, which would be a
real Shame
The
Elections are over, Time to wish PMB and his team well, their failure will have
more adverse effect on us than on them, Think about it.

Virginity vs Personality
You all must have heard or read about this
lady that got married and presented to her dad a certificate of purity at her
wedding reception …good for her I must say but being a good wife and making a
marriage work goes way beyond being a virgin with an unbroken hymen( besides
the hymen could also be broken in many different non sexual ways so
technically, you could be “disvirgined” asexually)….Please do not get me wrong
, being a virgin is a virtue but so is being humble, accommodating ,
reasonable, being a home maker, a dutiful wife and mother and being a good
person generally.
There are
probably a thousand virgin related threads online i.e nairaland ( as if it is
one of humanity biggest problems) There are those for and against and some of
us that are really just indifferent….like what the fuss mehn, Relationships are
much more than sexuality people.
That you
have not had sex before marriage does not guarantee that you are going to be a
good wife or mother, non-nagging, neat and wholesome to the family, That you
are experienced in the sex department doesn’t guarantee that also but that
exactly is the point, Relationships and marriage especially is not about you
status of your hymen but the status of your mind, body and soul
Again I have
to point this out that even as I am a bit indifferent about virginity in any
lady I am interested in, I would like it if I got married to a virgin ( I can
teach her things) but I will also be happy if I got married to an equally
decent girl that may not be a virgin but connects with me on the levels I hold
important, like confidence, intellect, neat with a wonderful sense of humour, doesn’t
take herself too seriously and able to take decisions even when I am not there,
I can trust her to do good.
Lastly, it
is really hypocritical the way society seems to be hammering on female
virginity while the boys are free willys, I mean who are the boys having this
sex with….mermaids ? If you are a young
person that can hold body till marriage, do it my all means and may whatever
you believe in help you cuz like p square talk am, e no eazy o..but it is so
possible but if like some of us.
*cough*cough* you don chop apple…Don’t let your personality be defined
by your sexual status. This leads to the
question “What else are you bringing into that marriage besides being a virgin
or not?” There are things much more important in Life.

How much did Linda Ikeji really buy her house on Banana Island
The house in question is actually a fully detached maisonette, it has an exact identical wing just beside it. On real estate websites, it has a price list for 800 million but our correspondent can now confirm that the house was available for 600 million earlier in the year due to the slow down in market prices on real estate in the axis,.
Madam Linda would have
paid between 520 to 600 million for the said property, our most informed figure would be 545 Million naira.
Considering that the particular property has being on the market for over two years, the developer was eager to do business with the blogger as real estate prices continues on its downward turn in the property market, this trend is also affecting property prices in places like abuja, in places like the asokoro district where many properties continue to lie vacant as politicians some of who lost out in the last general elections look to dispose off of their properties.
We at makizee's blog say congratulations to Linda Ikeji......E no easy

Stupid Nigerians
As I go about today’s business, I
do so angrily...I had to wake up earlier than usual this morning, not just so I
can beat the usual everlasting traffic but so I can get to the service station
early enough to go queue for Fuel, where else does this happen if not Nigeria.
It is often said that a nation deserves the kind of leaders it gets, Nigeria
has been unfortunate to be blessed (or cursed) with the worst kind anywhere in
the World but the beauty of democracy is that the people get to choose their leaders.
2015 gives us a another opportunity to effect Change, try something different
because obviously the last 16 years has
not worked for us as expected, if for any reason in the unlikely event that the PDP and
especially Mr Jonathan is returned as President, then I would conclude that the majority of us are
just plain stupid.
How can anyone in their right
sense want the PDP continue to lead us astray in this country, how can a sixth
largest producer of crude continue to depend on imports for its domestic needs
allowing capital flight and putting the naira under pressure, thus the naira
would always be tied to the value of crude and other related indices, not one
refinery has been built and even the ones we have are not functional, yet
billions of dollars has been allocated for their periodic ritual called turn-around
maintenance, billions of dollars has been spent on improving electricity but
yet the situation is actually getting worse by the day, Securing lives and
property which is a primary function of the government has been left to rot so
much so everywhere in Nigeria is constantly under some form of security threat,
the North East being the worst hit. Millions of able and qualified young people
do not have jobs and fall victim to scammers that would fleece them of money
they do not have, even the government scammed them too killing about 20 of them
in the process. Again I ask. How can anyone in their right sense want this
administration to continue for another four years, is it that they hate Nigeria
so much they would rather see it fail.
A lot of stupid folks (let’s just
admit it, there are a lot of really dumb people in this country) would point to
some regular function of government as achievements as if persons in power are
doing some kind of favour to Nigerians, They begged to be elected not to move
around in one annoying convoy but to hit the ground running and work to fix the
rot in the system, or is it Mr Okechukwu
that should fix the road to his village, or Dangote should lay rail tracks from
Lagos to Kano, and also provide jobs and electricity and hospitals to everybody
. these are not even the kind of achievements any responsible government should
be showcasing in 2015 but again this is Nigeria where mediocrity is applauded, I
even take it as an insult to intelligent people when I see a government
official cutting some ribbon just because a new road has been constructed or a
hospital has been built, in saner climes, events like this go unnoticed because
that is what is expected. What we should be discussing is how to make life more
comfortable for the people and not promises upon promises of basic amenities where
even less endowed nations have taken for granted years ago. Places like Dubai
in about 10 years transformed from a little more than a desert outpost to a
world class city, The PDP led Federal Government has spent sixteen years in
power and trillions in naira with very little to show for it and sadly There
are still citizens that would want them to have another four years. Yes they
make silly excuses that the rot didn’t start with the present occupier and that
it would certainly take a while before things can be fixed. Agreed but what has
he done to change the tides, he has shown that he is same of the same as he has
not done differently from his predecessors should we then continue with his obvious
lack of competence because things have been bad before he got there, if this is
not the height of absolute stupidity, then I don’t know what is.
For the sake of National sanity, I
would ask that we try something different, a new party, a different ideology
where the corrupt and the stealers of our commonwealth will know no peace
headed by a President who would spend valuable time trying to convince us that
stealing is not corruption but by one who has a known reputation for abhorring corruption,
I have not for once thought the APC would magically transform the country in
their first few years because that would make me equally stupid, but as
governance is in continuum , I have no doubt that it is a good place to start
and if they also fail to live beyond expectations, we can use the power we have
to also vote them out, right now. The PDP has failed, we (Dumbos and Elites
alike) would all be done for if they manage to retain leadership after May
29.

For the Love of Nigerians
For the Love of Nigerians
The Initial title I had in mind was “For the love of Nigeria” but I quickly
realised that some people love Nigeria albeit for the wrong reasons, some have
benefited so much from the system so much so; they would rather die than see Nigeria
change. To these sets of persons, Nigeria
is a land flowing with milk and honey, thus you would understand why they would
want the status quo to remain. They Love Nigeria as it is.
But if you love
Nigerians, you can’t help but want a new direction for the majority of your
countrymen who are in dire need of help, consider those without any hope for
the future because they lack a proper education, those unfortunate souls that continue
to suffer up north, some have been killed, others are in refugee camps, thousands
die every day because our hospitals are not well equipped and doctors are not
motivated to give their best. I could go on and on. Certainly we need a new
direction, a new way of doing things, we need Change!
I am not under the illusion that a certain
General Buhari and his party the APC would come, wave around some sort of
magical wand and everything would be set aright in a few weeks or even months…absolutely
not, but I am damn sure it is a good place to start. A quote I would like to
refer to here is “Only a mad person would continue to do something the same way
and expect a different result”, we have tried the PDP in the centre for 16
years, isn’t it about time we tried something different. I know a lot of us
would agree with me that stealing is
indeed corruption and that corruption is the foundation of all our problems ,
then you would agree that we need a man known for abhorring corruption rather
than a man that has repeatedly made it known that corruption is not such a big
deal, Again, isn’t it curious that under all the cacophony of political
mudslinging, facts and outright lies that has characterised this year’s
electioneering, do we not find it bunkum that the PDP has made the main discuss
of this elections the mundane and not
the real issues facing Nigerians, they have made the certificate purportedly earned
over 50 years ago the issue, they have become history teachers telling anyone
who cares to listen what a General Buhari did or didn’t do for the total of 20
months he was in power,30 years ago the issue, in their desperation they have even resorted to outright lies to
smear the image of their opponent while
totally ignoring to make clear to Nigerians what they have achieved in the last
16 years of their leadership or in the
almost six years of the Jonathan Presidency and why they deserve to continue in
office beyond May 29 2015. These and
many more reasons are why I along with millions of young Nigerians, both home
and abroad are interested in seeing General Muhammadu Buhari become the
President of Nigeria in 2015, he is not the messiah that would come and take
away all our troubles as he is just one man, but I have no doubt in my mind
that he would build a much better team that would assist him in building a new
Nigeria we can all be proud of.
For the love of Nigerians, go out on the 14th of Febuhari which
is incidentally lover’s day, armed not with guns or machetes but with your PVC
and vote General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) of the APC as Nigeria’s next President.

My Parisans
Away from the shenanigans going on at TBS, I'm about to go into unchatered territorry, I usually refrain from writing on issues bodering on religion and ish, because most Nigerians usually just lose their heads once religion is involved, but these horrible crime that has just being committed in far away France by a trio of uninformed, fanatical young men who stormed a satrical newspaper office that is known to have published materials that they consider to be insulting to their faith and revered prophet. Its a horrible crime, the motive of the actors would be to strike fear into anyone else that might want to do same, thus it is terrorism, its really sad, why does Islam seem to raise these kind of people, the answer is Islam as it is isn't just a faith but a way of life especially in many Muslim countries, they see it as insults not only to their faith but everything the hold in highest esteem imaginable, but the question is does it make it right to now go on a killing spree because you felt you have been insulted and what you consider as blasphemy, absolutely not I say, absolutely NOT, to start with there is no part of the quaran where "blasphemy" is mentioned and punishment prescribed , it is mainly a creation of early Muslims like their Christian counterpeart at the turn of the century , with severe punishments for those that are found guilt, this was across all faiths. In the 21st century though we just have to accept that blasphemy laws have become redundant, People would talk, Freedom to say whatever you like is the most natural thing , Satire is freedom of speech, as long as we exist people would always express views that we consider offensive, the best way to deal with it is to ignore totally, I understand many young migrants into Europe find it difficult to understand because satire, even political ones are almost non existent where they come from, talkless of religious ones, infact what these soulless kids have done is that now, they have in fact made these satires more popular, probably more media houses would be looking to republish them, and even Muslims that didn't know about them would be curious to find out what it was all about, simply put, they have helped the publishers to spread it further while committing a stupid senseless act of terrorism, sadly they didn't see it that way..which is the main problem.they saw it as a noble act, one which they are prepared to die for, such radicalism should have no place in Islam, Islam is a faith of moderation, you are angry in moderation, you should express joy in moderation too..The Arab world must rise up and nip in the bud this new trend of educated but fanatical youths in their midst, and not coming out immediately to condemn publicly is not helping their cause, admittedly its a dicey situation for leaders from this region, they would not want to be seen to be approving of the Publishers as some of them are signatories to the UN declaration on freedom of speech, either would they want to be seen to give tactic approval of the trio nor strong condemnation that may backfire back home because the sentiment in a number of Muslims countries is , why would the publishers continue to insult and blaspheme against Islam when they know that even Islam forbids Muslims to come up with image of the Prophet, even if its in a positive light. *sighs* so how dare they !
its a crazy world out there, those guys would be found, dead or alive(no be naija thankfully) and would face the full force of French laws. That is what they deserve.
